Saameh Sanaaee

Neurobiology and Neuroimaging Researcher

Cell and Molecular Biologist and SciComms Enthusiast

Hey there! Welcome to my page!

I'm Saameh, a junior researcher working with a wonderful group of people on task-based fMRI data. We're using BOLD signal time series to create models of human Working Memory, especially its architecture and capacity.

My primary responsibility has been the design and creation of our neural networks. We've created parallel GNN-LSTM models and MLPs (thanks to Neuromatch Academy and the Impact Scholars Program). Right now, we're focusing on improving those models and adding 4D Convolutional and 3D-UNet modules to increase their utility. This will allow us to study Working Memory and its structure and function with more granularity, using our little WoMAD model.
